About:

DS5i is the second entry into the Vaultek Smart Station family of safes (its predecessor is the DS2i Smart Station). It is a quick-access technology smart safe with a rugged build and silent deployment. It is purpose-built to be a modern safe that can blend into the home environment. Its charging features also make it a point of convenience for everyday life, not only to store valuables but also to charge the devices we carry each day.

The Build

• 16 gauge steel construction (the box could say 18 gauge but that is being fixed)
• Progressive-formed construction, Impact-resistant and pry-resistant design
• Silent roll-out drawer with LED-lit interior (the drawer dimensions on the box)
• The drawer has a silent dual-rail system
• 8-digit backlit Smart Sense™ Keypad
• LED touchscreen display
• Dual wireless charging pad on top
• 4 total USB charging ports at the back (2 USB & 2 USB-C)
• Signature anti-impact latch design
• The LED Display
• Time (connecting to the Vaultek Bluetooth 2.0 app sets the time.)
• Safe temp and humidity
• Temp can be changed to Celsius or Fahrenheit (in-app)
• Time can be changed to standard or military time (in-app)
• Touch the time to cycle display settings. The last setting is a blackout (empty) screen

Secure Methods of Entry

• 8 Digit Keypad that can be programmed with 1 master code that is 4-8 digits in length.
• 1 high-resolution biometric scanner capable of storing 20 unique fingerprints
• 2 Physical backup keys (the keyhole is at the back of the safe)

Connectivity

Connect to the Safe via the Vaultek Bluetooth 2.0 app. The app is used to manage/name the safe, the stored fingerprints, and control settings. Plus it allows you to see a history log that displays timestamps for when the safe was last opened, how it was opened, which fingerprint opened it, and if it has been tampered with.

From the app, you can also edit the screen settings as well as enable or disable the top illuminated LED ring.

• A 4ft steel security tether cable. (The safe can be tethered to or around furniture or an anchor in a wall stud.)
• An AC power adapter. (This adapter must be used with the DS5i due to its extensive charging capability.)

• A secure mounting plate - used to mount the DS5i in a more permanent way with screws to a tabletop.
• Nano Key 2.0 and Nano Key 2.0 Biometric  - this device is a Bluetooth-connected device that can be a hidden access point for your safe. (Mounted as a panic button under a desk, behind a bedside table, etc. Nano Key 2.0 is a simple push button the biometric version offers more security as it includes a secure biometric scanner, not a button)
